Overview
Due to continued business growth, my client is now looking to hire a number of experienced Business & Technical Consultants in their Edinburgh office. This role will suit a recent graduate or someone with a technical background who is starting out in their career. We are looking for people who are ambitious and driven, who can lead from the front and deliver on objectives. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the ongoing success of the business. Full training will be provided in order to become a successful client facing consultant. As a Business & Technical Consultant , you will have the chance to establish a varied career in consultancy and/or project management by working for one of the leading providers of FinTech solutions to wealth managers and banks. What you will be doing Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the business at an exciting period of growth, while getting the chance to play an important part in some major UK projects. With a background in the wealth management or banking industries, you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. You will be required to perform gap analysis and solution designs and previous experience working on technology change or business change projects would be highly beneficial. In this role, you will also be heavily involved in running meetings and delivering presentations. What we are looking for • Knowledge of relational database systems (Oracle preferred) and querying languages (SQL, Pl/SQL preferred) - This is a must have • Understanding of Object Oriented programming • Previous experience in development/ support role demonstrating proficiency in at least one programming language and being able to demonstrate it (in the on-site test) • Understanding of software development and implementation cycle • Good communication skills - verbal and written. • Strong analytical skills. • Strong desire to develop skills in consultancy and/or project management.
