Overview

Deputy Information Security Officer London Permanent Our central London based client, an International Financial Services organisation, are looking for a Deputy Information Security Officer to join them ASAP. Your role will be to manage the IT security technical function. This will involve working closely with technical architects and project managers, to provide expert advice on IT security architecture and ensure information security is designed within projects at initiation. You will play a key role in shaping the entire IT Security landscape within the organisation. Other duties involve Evaluating systems for vulnerabilities and making sure recommendations from systems tests are completed. Detecting and responding to IT security incidents, determining root cause and advising on corrective or preventive action to lessen the probability of a similar incident. Deputising for the Information Security Lead as and when required. Responsible for the Design, implementation and maintenance of security intelligence technologies to improve security posture and strengthen security defenses, including the visibility, identification and response to anomalous activity in near real time using monitoring techniques to obtain an empirical understanding of the networking topology. To be considered for this position you must have significant previous experience in IT security, you will have a strong technical understanding of IT systems, cloud and mobile technologies, and will know all about the theory and practice of risk management.
