Overview
This ambitious, well funded organic food startup are looking for a Finance Manager to take responsibility for their UK financial control. This is a hugley exciting time to join a company in a transitional period, where you'll report directly to the FD, CEO and investors. This is a role for a qualified accountant ideally with prior experience in a standalone role within an FMCG or retail environment. Please note prior experience of SAP/Oracle and a strong working knowledge of IFRS is essential for this role. What you'll be doing Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts for board reporting. Monthly financial journals submission to group company's parent finance team and preparation of statutory accounts. Assist with Group audit queries and completion. Supporting the annual budget preparation process, liaising with other heads of departments and managing timetable. Overall management of the company's cashflow position, including annual cashflow forecasting, monthly reconciliation and continuous improvement. Management of the accounts payable function (including staff expense payments) and dealing with supplier queries. Monitoring accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collection of sales receipts. Maintenance of accounting system, including entry of accounting transactions. Responsible for the timely and accurate filing of all company tax affairs. Preparation of annual financial statements for filing at Companies House. Working closely with other Department Heads. What you'll bring to the table Qualified accountant with 3 years minimum experience ideally within FMCG/Food/Retail Strong systems knowledge (SAP/Oracle ideal) is essential Robust knowledge of finanical reporting under IFRS Experience of preparing monthly management accounts Prior involvement in budget building and cash flow forecasting. Desire to review and improve processes and controls to reduce business risk. Experience in dealing with group / parent company functions based overseas. Strong financial accounting system knowledge; preferably with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP. Analytical with a passion for problem solving. Advanced Excel skills.
