Overview

Alexander Daniels are excited to be partnering again with this forward thinking and ambitious business based centrally in the beautiful Cheltenham. Working as one of six members of the Leadership Team and working closely with the Executive Team, this role will provide leadership and operational management, ensuring that the Business Plan and associated strategies are developed, resourced and achieved. This position will oversee the Finance function, with responsibility for the maintenance of accounting records and procedures and the preparation of all relevant financial statements, statistics and returns. Additionally, this role will also oversee the Business Support function, with responsibility for developing business systems and infrastructure for performance and risk management to achieve strategic objectives and also head up the project management around the corporate project delivery and overseeing a new system roll out. Managing a team of 4 with indirect management of the wider finance and business support teams, duties will include; Finance Accountability for the maintenance of company accounting records. Develop, maintain and review financial procedures. Prepare financial forecasts for the company business plan. Accountability for the preparation of annual budgets and monthly management accounts. Responsible for the preparation of annual accounts in compliance with statutory reporting requirements. Liaise with external auditors to enable the audit of financial statements. Financial control of all new projects. To take on a business partnering role and ensure that the Finance Team interacts with all areas of the company. Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues. Overall responsibility for company cash flows, ensuring resources are sufficient to meet operational requirements. Produce and maintain a comprehensive asset and liability register. Business Support Develop business systems, infrastructure and financial resource applications that respond to business intelligence that maximise business efficiency and effectiveness and enable customer service solutions. Develop and maintain the integrity of the strategic planning framework ensuring strong links between the companies vision, its strategic objectives and the delivery of business activities within the context of external and internal operating environments. Develop and maintain the integrity of the performance management and risk management framework Develop and maintain the integrity of a framework of control including internal and external audit systems The successful candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) and have experience of operating at operating at a strategic and corporate level, with executives, board members, external partners and important stakeholders and have excellent management and team building experience along with complex project management exposure.
