Overview
A client of Morgan Hunt are looking to recruit a Youth Worker to deliver a programme to young people. The service supports young peopled aged 5 to 25 years. You work alongside a team of volunteers, to deliver a programme of youth work sessions, outreach groups and informal education sessions to young people who access the centre and our on and off site clubs and groups. As the Youth Worker you will be required to work 30 hours per week. The main responsibilities of the post will be: To plan, set up, lead or assist with running face-to-face youth work activities Supporting volunteers who assist them in running the sessions Ensure that all procedures relating to administration, planning and evaluation of the sessions are adhered to Responsible for involving young people in the development of each aspect of their work The successful candidate of Youth Worker will have: Level 2 in Youth Work is desirable but not essential Experience of football/boxing delivery desirable Experience of planning a programme of activities Experience of communication with young people through a variety of media, and in a variety of settings Knowledge of Youth Work and young people's development needs Knowledge of the types of statutory and non-statutory bodies who can assist Knowledge of safety/welfare issues in Youth Work Knowledge of a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques If you feel that you meet the criteria above then please contact us now Morgan Hunt is a multi award winning Employment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
