Job overview The Motor Ombudsman’s mission is to provide the best dispute resolution service through engaged people driving excellence in customer service across the automotive sector. As a member of the team, you will play a key role within our ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) service, ensuring care and excellent service is provided to consumers and accredited businesses while delivering against the set targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). A key player within our alternative dispute resolution service, you will support the Financial Controller to financially account for and optimise the profit and revenue position of TMO. The position is offered on a part-time basis, either 4 days a week or 28 hours spread over 5 days. Person Specification Essential: Fully or part-qualified AAT, BTEC or similar relevant qualification or qualified by experience Experience of using Accounting software to generate invoices for customers Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite An ability to prioritise and manage expectations A keen eye for detail An ability to work independently The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within and outside the company Experience of managing credit control operations Desirable: Financial Force Accounting Software and Sales Force CRM Experience Main responsibilities As the Credit Control Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for the sole charge functions of the Accounts Receivables, which will include but are not limited to: Formulation of the company’s credit control policy to ensure customers pay in the most effective way in order to mitigate bad debt risks Being proactive and working directly with customer Finance departments to achieve the most efficient matching of processes to enable the above Invoice production for our customers using Financial Force Accounting Package Monitoring and maintaining customer information Receipting and allocation of payments to customers account timely and accurately Processing credit notes when required Preparing monthly aging reports and proactively chasing up unpaid amounts, per the company’s credit policy First point of contact for customers regarding their account balances Monitoring customer accounts for delayed payments Ensure customers pay on time in order to reduce potential bad debts Regularly reviewing the process and procedures to reduce debtor days Assisting the Financial Controller in Budgeting, Month End Reports and Year End Audit Other ad-hoc duties Benefits: Flexible working hours Private medical/dental insurance Contract length: 12 months Part-time hours: 28 per week Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Salary: £28,000.00 to £30,000.00 /year
