Overview

Octagon Ltd is looking for a Service Coordinator to efficiently link between our Service and Installation departments assisting with their day to day running. The role is based in WD18. Key areas of responsibility : - typical tasks will include: Planning and scheduling of engineers for call out/maintenance visits in the most cost and time efficient manner with the resources available. Day to day communication with engineers and customers, working closely with Service manager and Installation coordinator. Review and coordinating all completed engineering paperwork, prepare invoices and take payments from customers. Fielding incoming technical desk calls and emails. Working closely with engineers on a daily basis, assigning new jobs to their workloads, communicating with the engineers; handling diary management & allocating relevant parts Working with the Goods Operative to help order, track & invoice stock used by engineers. Generating NSI statistics and monthly reports Supporting team members when required and undertake any other tasks that may arise. Experience: Previous experience as a Service Administrator, Service Coordinator, Help Desk or similar, ideally with a fire or security company. A background dealing with and scheduling field based engineers Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal along with customer service skills. Good administration and IT skills (MS Office products). Experience of Alarm Master would be a benefit. Proactive, logical and methodical, with a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn The person: We are looking for a career minded individual, someone who is motivated, dedicated & looking to become part of hard working team. The successful applicant would need to be polite & have a good telephone manner as they would be dealing with our customers on a daily basis, also punctual & well organised as the job requires them to be. Please note - Own vehicle required to commute to Rickmansworth office (unfortunately there is not a bus service on Tolpits Lane). The company offers an excellent working environment, 08.30am - 17.30pm Monday to Thursday, 08.00am to 17.00pm on Fridays (1 hour for lunch on weekdays) and 08.30-1300hrs every 4th Saturday as rostered. Salary is £21 000 to £24 000 depending on experience, 20 days holiday (increasing with service) and auto-enrol pension scheme.
