Overview

Wilson Blake are currently working with an extremely high-growth Fintech start-up that is disrupting the lending market. Having recently secured over £30m through a series A funding round, our client is looking to grow aggressively and have earmarked a new Financial Controller as a crucial hire. Their innovative and unique approach to the industry has seen them recently partner with some of the most recognisable Fintech start-ups in the UK. They have gained huge momentum through viral marketing campaigns and have achieved year-on-year growth of over 200% since being founded in 2015. This is an exciting role that would suit somebody with the hands-on experience of running a start-up's finance function. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement key processes and controls to meet the needs of a rapidly scaling business Build a first in class Finance function Ownership of month end duties Preparation of statutory accounts Ownership of all commercial Finance duties including preparing board packs and financial models for future investment Regular presenting of key financial to senior membership team Key contact for audit Automating transactional duties for the business Key Requirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2 years PQE Strong educational background Experience within a high-growth/start-up business is a major advantage Experience implementing new systems/controls Advanced Excel Strong communication skills
