Overview
My client is a leading Network Service provider based in Reading. They have just released a new position for a highly motivated Senior Network Engineer. Experience Required: Previously working in a NOC/Helpdesk Environment Background in routing, LAN switching, IPT and WAN Network Migration experience - assist in switch customer across providers Network Provisioning - can track multiple elements of large projects Have operated BGP ASN and has knowledge of peering/transit arrangements Key Skills Of The Network Engineer Detailed Cisco Routing/Switching experience to CCNP level Experience of Security Appliances / Software (Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, NSX) BGP/OSFP/ISIS (IPv4 & IPv6) MPLS knowledge - L2VPN / L3VPN / EVPN About you Self-starter individual with entrepreneurial tenacity to drive the growth of a business. Hands-on, team player with a proactive approach Professional yet fun Calm under pressure and meet/exceed timelines: the ability to multi-task Creative Thinker, pragmatic and always focusing on the solution and not the problem. Own a positive 'can do' attitude Be confident to offer alternative ideas/solutions, not just be a brief-taker. Quality conscious with excellent attention to detail A methodical and logical approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate professionalism to clients, colleagues and suppliers Salary £40-60k depending on experience plus excellent benefits.
