Many businesses do not reach this point. Several highly successful years of trading with sales up 50% has catapulted them to category leaders in free from indulgent snacking. They now need to take the next steps to the £10m mark and are investing heavily in upskilling their already talented team. Despite their massive growth and success, the business maintains the same entrepreneurial spirit upon which they were founded. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business with high capability and a fantastic product set looking at moving into new categories and diversifying their portfolio. The time is now so, don't delay as you will not want to be disappointed ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: We're on the hunt for a Commercial Manager with a big personality to take on all the key Grocery accounts for this progressive business. You'll be responsible for driving sales within the Grocery Sector, managing the top 4 grocery accounts and taking full ownership of nearly 70% of their overall business. This is a highly visible role where you'll be reporting directly to the Commercial Director. As the Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for: Ownership and Account Management of the Top 4 Grocery accounts. Full P&L responsibility with autonomy over the forecasting and budgeting. Developing JBP level relationships with your customers across multiple categories. Dotted Line responsibility for Account Executives as well as working alongside other Commercial Managers in the business. Data Management - using Sales Out data to help develop strategic plans for growth within the different sectors. Utilising customer systems to maximise sales including influencing availability, compliance and promotion management. Working with category insights to lead category recommendations across all customers & ensure they have the most effective ranging. These guys pride themselves on culture so if you fancy doing something a bit different and quirky with huge innovation and constant drive for perfection - then this is the place for you ABOUT YOU: This is the perfect opportunity for an aspiring National Account Manager who has experience working with Grocery, High Street or Convenience accounts and wants to take the next step up to look after the big retail beasts For this role you'll need: National Account Management experience in the FMCG Food/Drinks Sector. A minimum of 2 full years experience looking after a Grocery, High Street or Convenience Account - a minimum of 2 fiscal cycles. A strong process mindset - driven ways of working with the ability to adjust to a more agile SME environment. A passion for selling and being comfortable negotiating and influencing buyers/senior buyers. Good communication skills & the ability to work collaboratively with others. To be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail. Above all else a passion to work in the food and drink sector.
