Overview
This successful property investment and development company based in London seeks a hand on Financial Controller to run and manage its finance department. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be self-motivated to look after the financial management, accounting and taxation for the business. This role is seen as an integral part of the management team. Key duties include: Setting up and managing SPV's Preparation of budget forecasts and monitoring against actual performance as required on a regular basis To provide Budget Holders and Managers with appropriate, reliable and timely information Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. Ensuring statutory accounts and other statutory and taxation information is produced Providing accurate and comprehensive financial information to executive management for long term financial planning. Ongoing development of new and revised reporting & MIS. Maintaining a detailed overview of all general ledger transactions and advising other staff on correct accounting treatment Responsible for preparing and submitting VAT & CIS registrations & returns Preparation of information in relation to tax compliance matters and liaising with the Group's tax advisors Ensuring that the CEO is aware of any requirements to update the Group's accounting requirements Reviewing the Group's accounting procedures and advising on any changes which would enhance the present procedures Build and maintain strong and robust EXCEL financial analytical models across the business Assess and review the financial performance of the portfolio and individual assets Assist the structuring and analysis of debt and equity finance This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that can offer a varied and challenging role together with being part of the management team.
