Overview

Trainee IT recruitment consultant. £20,000-£22,000 basic salary. First year OTE £35,000. My client is a prestigious IT, engineering and life sciences recruitment company, recognised by the Sunday Times. They have established offices in Germany and the U.S and are expanding their Reading team in 2018, looking for a trainee recruiter to join their fast-growing business. This role would suit a highly ambitious, confident and driven candidate with a sales background who is looking to begin a fast-paced career in the rewarding world of recruitment. The successful candidate will be competitive; articulate, with the ability to converse in a professional manner; IT literate and able to demonstrate good time-management skills. My client is based in Reading. The office is easily accessible from public transport links and has added brand new meeting rooms into its modern working environment. The working environment consists of a bright and energetic atmosphere with the encouragement of taking mini breaks to participate in team building activities which can range from a game of mini golf or table tennis to having a quiet wander with your thoughts. The role The company provides excellent training and support to its consultants, ensuring that every recruiter’s clients and candidates are satisfied with their consultancy service throughout the process. The successful candidate can expect to initially work the candidate market; sourcing candidates to match with the requirements of specific job roles and marketing existing job roles using adverts across job boards and social media. As training progresses, work will evolve into a full 360 role; meeting with both clients and candidates to develop business through live working relationships and face-to-face meetings, and managing the interview processes from initial contact to the close. Through the company, a trainee consultant can realistically expect to be promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant by their third year, with OTE up to £70,000.
