Great Role for Experienced Construction Site Manager to start and deliver a complex D&B Construction Project Your new company Our client are a contractor with a footprint across the UK who consistently deliver some of the most impressive commercial construction building projects across multiple markets. With a long established track record our client can offer their staff strong career development opportunities and a sustainable long term role within Edinburgh and the Central Belt. Your new role Our client are very active in the educational and university sectors and have just won multiple projects in this space. They are seeking a senior site manager or site manager to join their business to take on one of these projects and deliver it from start to finish. As site manager you will be ultimately responsible for all construction operations onsite. From managing and mentoring your team of construction professionals ( site managers ,engineers , direct labour etc) to getting involved with key subcontractor packages this will be a busy role which will accelerate your career. Of course a key part of this role will be managing and liaising key stakeholders in partnership with your PM from client reps to design and architecture contacts. You will be the key person on this project and will be a key reason for its success or failure. What you'll need to succeed Our client are seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience of project delivery within the educational or general commercial sector on projects up to £20million. You will understand the challenge of running these projects and embrace the complexity and organised chaos of managing a construction project of this scale. Ideally you will have worked for a tier 1 or tier 2 contractor in the UK with a track record of starting and finishing projects within this sector. The key attributes our client are seeking is a real construction leader who can drive a positive hard working culture onsite back up with exceptional construction knowledge.
