Leading Tier 2 Contractor requires Senior Quantity Surveyor for large hospitality project. Your new company Our client are a national contractor with a strong local presence in Scotland. With a large office in the Central Belt they have capability to deliver large complex design and build projects across both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our client have deep exposure to both the public sector frameworks and private development community and with that in mind can offer sustainable long term careers to their commercial and operational staff. Your new role Due to a range of large project wins across both the public and private sector markets they are seeking to add at least one if not two senior quantity surveyors to their business. As a Senior QS for this company you will take on a project in the range of £10 to £50million across education, leisure and hospitality sectors and bring it to a successful commercial conclusion. Reporting to your experienced commercial manager you will be responsible for all commercial activities on your project from managing the procurement process and selecting your team of subcontractors to developing a positive relationship with the client ensuring your employers commercial interest is protected. What you'll need to succeed Our client are a solid tier 2 contractor and they are looking for candidate who ideally have had prior experience within this market previously. They are open to an existing Project QS stepping up to a Senior QS role but the ideal situation is for an existing Senior QS seeking to develop their career with one of the best builders in Scotland. You will have a solid understanding of the commercial processes involved in delivering complex projects up to £40million and have an ambition and drive to take on further leadership and commercial responsibilities as your progress your career.
