Overview
Allen Lane is recruiting an interim Financial Controller for a Russell Group university based in central London. This initial 12 month assignment covers the current post holder as they’re seconded to a project. As such, this post is responsible for all financial accounting, financial reporting, treasury and systems functions but will also feed in to a wider finance project at an exciting and critical point. The successful candidate must prove to be capable in running a busy financial accounting team with 5 direct reports but also have an appreciation for implementing change and work with the programme lead in delivering financial transformation. Previous experience of higher education would be extremely advantageous but we welcome applications from fully qualified accountants with experience leading a financial accounting team previously, ideally within the public sector.
