Overview

Experienced Financial Controller required for a sustainable, digitally led, fashion Brand whose USP is creating premium, essential products from bio, lab-grown, recycled and natural materials. Reporting directly into the COO, the purpose of this role will be to manage the finance function including looking at areas of growth and implementing financial safeguards Key responsibilities will include: Timely and accurate preparation of monthly group management accounts Reporting/commentary on variances to budget / sales / KPI's Supervision of the Purchase and Sales ledgers Statutory Obligations - VAT/PAYE/PSA/P11D - Preparation and submission of returns Balance Sheet reconciliations All aspects of Payroll Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts Assisting the accountants with the yearend accounts Primary contact for the company on financial matters Involvement in the budgeting and forecasting process Accounting systems and processes improvement - including implementing accounting software Analysing financial data and close liaison with department managers to resolve issues Office Management Other Ad hoc duties as required Qualification, Experience & Skills Part / Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy Knowledge of accounting software Previous experience within a start up / growing organisation would be ideal Strong written reporting skills Confident communication skills
