Overview
Learning Mentor LEA Islington September Do you have experience working with SEMH/EBD? Are you looking for a school to continue your career as a Learning Mentor? Do you have previous experience working as a Learning Mentor within Primary education? This school is currently looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to work both 1:1 and with small groups in both Key stage 1 and 2. The pupils you will be working with have a mixture of SEMH and EBD needs therefore having experience working with these needs is essential. Located in Islington this school is in a great location, close by to a number of train stations and bus stops you are just a short walk away from the school. This school has a very supportive unit of both staff and pupils, with a member of staff always available for support if needed. The school are looking to expand their team of support staff and in order to be part of this you will need to be confident and experienced. Working with both EBD and SEMH students will mean you need to have strong behaviour management and Team-Teach is definitely desirable as there may be aspects of restraining involved. In order to be considered for this role you must have: -Strong behaviour management and confidence -The ability to use own initiative in certain situations when they arise - The time to commit to a role from 8.30am 3.30pm Monday to Friday -Previous experience working with SEMH & EBD in a mainstream Primary school -Team Teach or any form of restraint training is desirable, but not essential If this sounds like the role you are looking for then please apply now with a copy of your most recent CV.
