Overview
Your new company - a large government department is looking for an Interim Financial Accounting Team Leader to lead the team the year end. Your new role - You will manage a team of qualified accountants who are responsible for the consolidation and production of the final accounts. These are interesting and challenging roles, which will provide the successful applicant with opportunities to work with a diverse group of Arms Length Bodies (ALBs), which follow a number of financial accounting frameworks including pure IFRS, FReM, FRS102 and the Charities SORP. This results in the requirement to 'align' statutory accounts with the DCMS Group thus providing excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop knowledge across the range of frameworks. What you'll need to succeed - you will be a qualified accountant with strong leadership skills. You will have experience of producing statutory accounts and ideally have consolidation experience. Although not essential, audit or public sector experience would be advantageous.
