Overview
Commercial Combined/Package Underwriter required to write existing business whilst working to agreed service standards. Taking responsibility for specific designated business and providing a quality service to the brokers covering all aspects of their Commercial Combined and Package Insurance arrangements. The role will involve obtaining quotations, undertaking day to day administration of existing business and ensuring efficient/accurate liaison with both the broker and insurer. Inviting renewals, taking instructions from brokers relating to the provision of insurance cover and checking policy documents and endorsements. Candidates must have relevant underwriting experience, good market and product knowledge and working knowledge of FSA rules and guidelines. Looking for an enthusiastic team player with effective communication, organisational and self-motivation skills. Problem solving ability, time management skills, position attitude, report writing skills and computer literacy (experience of Word, Excel and Microsoft Office). Candidates must be prepared to study towards professional qualifications and it would be desirable to have attained the Cert CII or be working towards Dip CII or ACII.
