T he purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Distributed Project Management Officers within the Society’s Change function in support of the Change Portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Practice Management, you will support the creation of and drive a community of practice with a focus on professional development and continuous improvement for the Practice to be the best they can be and be recognised as change delivery leads across the Society. Some key responsibilities and accountabilities will include: Developing and implementing the systems, processes and ways of working to develop and sustain a high performing team and delivery capability. Engaging with business, IT and Business Change stakeholders to source the right quality people. Understanding and react to changing business needs and developments in transformation and methodology. Owning, drive and deliver the right change delivery capabilities and skill-sets. Implement plans that retain and attract the best people. Setting and drive practice initiatives to support community and wellbeing and colleague engagement agenda. Improving consistency of guidance, training, induction, coaching and assurance. Ensuring communications are received and understood, consider different audiences and select the right communication medium. Having leadership of approx. 15 direct reports, you will lead, manage and continually develop a team to ensure they have the appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation to deliver the Society Change Portfolio. You will also lead activity on behalf of Head of Practice Management working with colleagues to realise consistently high levels of ownership, accountability and performance to deliver outstanding levels of colleague engagement. As our Change Practice Manager- DPMO , you will be or have: Demonstrable extensive experience of working successfully in relevant practice specialism in order to deliver great results- ideally within a Financial Services background Demonstrable extensive knowledge of approaches relevant to practice specialism such as delivering and governing change with methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile as ways of working, along with their respective strengths and weaknesses. Creating a sense of common purpose and a shared understanding; communicate a clear vision and influence others to get involved in making it a reality. Leading team and colleagues to encourage them to solve problems. Act as a sounding board providing structure, challenge, direction and advice as required. Building a culture where high performance and ownership is encouraged and celebrated; openly discuss lessons learned from failures without apportioning blame. Driving and monitor realistic plans for achievement of long term vision focussing on delivering incremental delivery capability. Work successfully and maintain delivery in ambiguous situations. Identifying, coaching, mentoring and developing talented individuals to fulfil their potential.
