Trainee Financial Adviser | Employed Role | London | £28,000 - £35,000 The Opportunity Reed Financial Services are working with a Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management and are looking for a Trainee Financial Adviser to join their growing team. You will be joining an award-winning FTSE 100 company that’s able to offer the support and structure needed to develop your skillset. It is not essential that you have a book of business to bring across as you will be servicing an existing client bank. You will be expected to want to grow and develop your own clients, support will be in place to do so. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and determined individual wishing to join a company that can offer genuine progression. You will work with and be mentored by the partner of the firm. You will be provided with the required training to further your career from an IFA Support role into Advising. Experience • Solid generalist experience within the Professional or Financial Services sector • Numerate and familiar with operating and creating spreadsheets • Comfortable preparing detailed letters and comprehensive reports • Strong organisational skills required Duties and Responsibilities • Preparation of reports to clients on financial planning matters • Obtaining relevant literature to accompany client reports • Preparation of packs for meetings with clients including investment valuations • Liaising directly with clients as the "assistant consultant". This will include a variety of queries in connection with the client’s financial affairs. It will be important that the candidate obtains detailed knowledge on all clients for whom he/she is working to carry out these tasks. Technical Knowledge and Qualifications The successful candidate should be comfortable and understand the structure of pension, investments and life products and be willing to learn and understand more complex financial products. The candidate should have attained the Diploma, or Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning or has made good progress with it. Other qualifications in this area will be an advantage but training and development are provided and encouraged. A good academic track record is also a distinct advantage.
