Apply to work as a Quality Control Operative for one of the UK's leading supermarkets today. Staffline are recruiting for a Quality Control Operative to work at our client's busy site in Northwich. The rate of pay for the day shift is £10.57 per hour and is paid at £12.97 per hour for the night shift. The hours of work are: - 6am to 6pm - 6pm to 6am Your time at work As a Quality Control Operative at this site, you will monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards. Other duties will include, but are not limited to: - Completing all tasks assigned by management, ensuring all products are of high quality and are in line with food safety processes and procedures - Monitoring the quality and legal compliance of the products to ensure the food safety, quality, legality and authenticity of the products- this includes conducting raw material assessments where required - Advising internal customers (Production and Technical) of any issues which will affect food safety or legal compliance where applicable e.g. incorrect date codes, product under weights etc - Advising operational teams and colleagues on product standards and specifications - Identifying and eliminating any quality problems to ensure that all requirements are met, which will include supporting with internal audits - Ensuring that the external customers' products are to the required standard with no errors and full traceability - Minimising and preventing the loss of sales and profit due to product recall - Complete daily assessments of products from each production run and then communicate the results and actions of these panels to the appropriate worker As well as the above, you will have the ability to flexibly support all areas of the business where required, to ensure that service levels are consistently met. You will complete general quality checks such as temperature probing, swabbing, weighing and size checks to guarantee all production lines are operating at the required standards and specifications set out, and you'll be mindful of escalating any issues where necessary. Our perfect worker: Our ideal Quality Control Operative can work across multiple production environments in varying temperatures of approximately 8 degrees and below. You will also be required to occasionally work in damp and wet conditions, when required. You'll understand and comply with all relevant business and site processes and procedures, such as, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene & Safety standards. Experience in a similar role is advantageous; however, not essential as our client will provide full training.
