HR Project Manager fixed term contract

As part of the European Human Resources team, the Project Manager will support a variety of HR projects. We're looking for someone to join us on a fixed term contract until January 2021 to support our broad range of European projects and this role will be particularly focussed on the mental health project and initiatives across TJX Europe. In partnership with key stakeholders across the entire department, the Project Manager will help support, identify, develop and implement innovative and cohesive solutions to effectively deliver the projects on time. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain successful partnerships with the European HR team, HR stakeholders and key business sponsors. Maintain key relationships with the HR partners to ensure non duplication of projects and to drive global engagement on key initiatives. Leads project activities and reports project status to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provides desired business value Assigns priorities for and coordinates the activities of project staff, including the relevant third party staff as needed. Supervises multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities. Responsible for timely and effective project communications including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management, and reporting. Responsible for the project plan, work breakdown structure, and identified critical path. Accountable for project financials, including baselines, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation. Completes a Post Implementation review, Lessons Learned and feeds back for process improvement. Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, and milestones. Identifies and solves project issues. Support SME’s as required in continuous improvement and project management Agree project objectives, scope, deliverables, timescales and budgets and secure sign off from Sponsors and Stakeholders. Manage changes in project scope or requirements, negotiating as necessary with Sponsors and Stakeholders. Identify record, manage and mitigate risks. Resolve issues, escalating as necessary. Develop and maintain detailed project plans using appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and the critical path. Ensure that all projects are progressing and delivering agreed results to the agreed time, quality and budget requirements. Liaise with PMO to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project including Stage Gate and Project Reviews. Ensure projects adhere to TJX’s methodologies and standards. Provide direction, support and coaching to project team members and SME’s. Provide timely and effective resource and project reporting in line with PMO and business stakeholder requirements. Manage multiple projects concurrently, with varying scale and delivery timelines. Implement and control benefits realisation, by project. Manage third-party and supplier relationships. Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels and with the ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences. Experience in managing complex projects in international and/or matrix , preferably within HR. Experience of using standard PMO tools, methodologies and processes. A qualification in project management is desirable. Experience of working with geographically-dispersed teams is desirable. Experience with PC based project management tools including MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel Experience creating and managing detailed project financial data and performing the analysis necessary. Highly organized, able to prioritize and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong process and analytical skills tied with sharp decision-making abilities. Strong customer service skills with a focus on listening to the customer. Mentoring and coaching ability Project management (Prince2, PMP) desirable Complete integrity and reliability to manage and perform sensitive and confidential work Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work across the organisation at all levels using influencing Fluent in English, another European language would be considered an advantage Experience of Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodology, LSS Green or Yellow Belt certification is highly desirable Come and Discover Different at TJX.
