If the answer is yes, then we have a great opportunity for you Our Services: Day opportunities - supporting individuals with autism to gain new skills and interests in a safe and thriving environment Outreach – supporting individuals with autism within their home and in the community to access local amenities and resources Housing support – to support individuals with autism to maintain their own tenancy and to provide care at home as required Adult residential – to provide a home to individuals with autism within a group setting while promoting life skills Scottish Autism’s values are: - Collaboration – we work with others and value their opinions - Compassion – we work with each other and our service users with care and kindness - Change makers – we never stand still, we move positively forward, always focused on quality and being the best - Contribution – we love what we do, we never lose sight of our purpose and the difference we make in society As an Autism Practitioner, you will take the lead role in developing personalised support plans which focus on maximising potential for each autistic adult. You will work with the autistic adult, their family and the wider Support Worker team, ensuring the autistic adult’s individual life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support. We encourage and welcome applications from people with lived experience of autism. “Fellow colleagues and management are supportive.” Staff member, Tayside Area Services On a day-to-day basis, Autistic Practitioners enable autistic people to complete all activities of daily living, which includes personal care and household chores. You can also expect to be out and about supporting autistic adults to access their communities and take part in activities of their choosing, which is great fun for all. “The training is excellent.” Staff member, Tayside Area Services Scottish Autism is currently undergoing a period of digital transformation which will result in all documentation and processes being managed online and electronically from April 2020. Training on the new system will be provided to all staff.
