Due to organic growth, the Commercial Enterprise Team seeks additional Commercial Account Handler. Here, you will be working in a fast-paced, yet friendly and supportive environment. Clients of the Enterprise Team are typically SME’s that pay premiums between £1,000 - £15,000. Accounts are from a range of industry sectors, such as Property Owners, Tradespeople, Shops, Offices, Hotels and Motor Traders. You will be responsible for the successful management of a designated allocation of accounts, developing a friendly, yet professional rapport, with all your clients, and building a sound understanding of their businesses. You will scrutinise their current insurance programme and ensure their exposures to risk are suitably mitigated. Where there are gaps in clients’’ cover, you will suggest alternative arrangements to ensure they are appropriately covered. You will be responsible for all elements of policy service, from answering day to day enquires and dealing with policy admin’, through to conducting renewals and everything in between. You must have experience of working in commercial insurance, ideally gained in a broking environment but we will consider applications from Underwriters who wish to change discipline. You must also have a sound understanding of a range of commercial covers, such as Commercial Combined, Property, Liability and Motor Fleet. As you will be liaising with Underwriters to obtain comprehensive cover at competitive premiums, you must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be a confident negotiator. The Enterprise Team deals with a large volume of work, so it is essential that you are well-organised, with good task management skills, and able to prioritise your workload whilst demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
