Overview
Your new company I am currently working with a well-respected luxury retail hair brand based in central and East London. They are an SME business, with a head office of 35 heads in London, an international presence and lots of new product launches on the horizon. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance leader who is looking to take responsibility of a finance team and have operational influence across the business. They also have a beauty clinic, which is developing strongly and bringing in c10% of the revenue. Your new role This family run business is managed with passion and integrity by an impressive MD. This Head of Finance & Operations role is a significant senior hire, working alongside the executives with hybrid expertise. Alongside a broad financial responsibility, this role has broad operational scope and influence. You will manage a finance team, building a best in class finance function so that the business can continue scaling. This role manages a team of 4 direct reports, alongside a diverse remit to business partner and liaise with non-finance personnel across the business. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant with experience as a finance leader. Experience of working in consumer brands, preferably the beauty industry would be advantageous. You will have had experience: Preparing monthly management and annual financial statements As main contact person for local auditors and tax consultants, ensuring compliance with VAT, corporation tax and enforcement of transfer pricing Monthly reforecasting of P&L and cashflows including scenario planning Gross margin expertise and stock experience What you'll get in return A competitive salary is on offer, with the opportunity to grow and develop as part of a growing business.
