MMP Consultancy are working alongside a high-quality Clinical Commissioning Group organisation to recruit a Governance and Assurance Officer based in London This is a specialist role, which will work within the Governance and Assurance Team to provide the organisation with effective and efficient delivery of governance and support business continuity processes for the organisation. This role will support the CCG in meeting the governance and assurance challenges of the new Integrated Commissioning approach the CCG is developing in partnership with other Corporations. It will similarly assist the CCG in assimilating any changes to its governance and assurance systems as result of organisational development. Key responsibilities: Identifying and setting own work-plan and working with the wider team to undertake, cover and collaborate on work as needed Supporting other team members in the production of their work and quality assuring their output as appropriate Development of team level policies and processes and systems of work in support of and reflective of those of the wider organisation Working across the team to ensure that all corporate and governance tools and documents are up to date and shared appropriately across the CCG, acting as the first point of contact with regards to the use of these by colleagues Directly support CCG teams in the identification and management of risk as appropriate, through one to one support, training and guidance Supporting the CCG in following its business continuity processes, working with teams across the organisations to identify and address needs and interfacing with partner organisations to provide assurance on the CCGs resilience Working collaboratively with the Corporate Services team to ensure that a professional and responsive service is provided across the CCG. Person Specification: Substantial knowledge of public-sector corporate governance. Degree or equivalent level of work experience. Substantial understanding of Committee procedure. Substantial knowledge of Policy Management. Strong understanding of risk and risk management within a relevant context. Understanding and appreciation of the management of conflicts of interest in CCGs. Experience of effectively working collaboratively with internal colleagues. Experience of working on business continuity policies and processes.
