Job Title: Commercial Banking - Underwriter - London Location: London Salary: Competitive plus benefits About the Role Our client is growing rapidly and as a result has a brand-new role for an experienced Credit Analyst/Underwriter, with a strong experience in Commercial lending . This is a unique opportunity to join a unique, ethical Challenger Bank with a strong social impact focus & help them reach their growth targets. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in commercial lending and will have held an underwriting mandate previously. An understanding of Charities, Healthcare, Education, Social Housing or other related areas is useful but not essential, along with a desire to work for an organisation committed to positively benefitting the community. The role will carry flexibility and the ability to take on a wide range of responsibilities. As the Commercial Banking - Credit Analyst/Underwriter - London your responsibilities and duties will include: • Review new credit applications and make summary recommendations; • Determine credit worthiness of applications; • Review existing credit applications on renewal; • Review and amend existing credit policies and procedures; • Ensure all approved applications comply with regulatory and firm lending policies and customer criteria; • Review deals and field questions from Underwriters; • Prepare and develop monthly Management Information for the Business and relevant committees; • Pre- and Post-drawdown controls; • Periodic Reviews of Credit Files. About You If you are currently in a Commercial Banking - Credit Analyst/Underwriter - London role or similar this is the ideal next step in your career Essential Skills and Competencies of the Commercial Banking - Credit Analyst/Underwriter - London: Regulated banking/financial services experience (PRA/FCA); 2/3 years’ experience as a Credit or Financial Analyst; Familiarity with Office 365; Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information.
