Overview
My client is a multinational, award winning professional services firm. This organisation has a global footprint and is continuing to grow out its worldwide presence. The business now needs a Financial Controller to take on a key leadership role, reporting to the Finance Director. The Financial Controller will take ownership of the financials across the Europe region and work closely with the senior leadership team of the group. The Financial Controller will work closely with 'in country' teams to guide and advise on best practice and sound commercial decision making. This will involve a great deal of direct and indirect remote management as well as the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a variety of countries and cultures. Therefore the Financial Controller will require first rate communication and leadership skills. This individual will manage a local team of three in London as well as the remote teams. Core responsibilities include delivery of high quality monthly financial information, commercial analysis, insightful commentary and reporting, budgeting/forecasting, cash management and business partnering support for sales and other non-finance teams. The ideal background would be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong post qualified experience in a similar Finance Manager / Financial Controller role. Experience of working in an in-house finance role at a Professional Services organisation would be a huge benefit. However, transferable experience in another B2B industry would also be considered.
