An attractive opportunity for a Commercial Construction Lawyer has surfaced with a reputable government body in London. Your New Employer This government body is responsible for the transport system across Greater London, and requires Commercial and Construction Solicitors to join their 90-strong in-house legal department, supporting their public transport investment programme on a number of maintenance and regeneration programmes. About the Role In this Commercial Construction Lawyer role, you will be responsible for a wide range of matters related to the transport investment programme. Key duties will include: Providing legal advice Drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts Working both independently and as part of a team to help the delivery of large scale projects Delivering commercial and practical solutions to emerging problems and managing risks Candidate Profile The ideal candidate for this Commercial Construction Lawyer position will demonstrate: 6 years’ PQE as a Solicitor or Barrister Background in non-contentious construction law or commercial law (whether UK or transferable jurisdiction) Prior experience of drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of contracts Prior exposure to public procurement law, or the engineering or transport sectors (highly desirable) Exposure to complex high-value investment programmes What you'll get in return You will join a vibrant in-house team, helping to deliver an unparalleled public investment programme and provide an excellent service to millions of people every single day.
