Overview EJ Legal are working with a leading magic circle law firm that is looking for a junior Financial Services Regulatory Associate to add to their Tier 1 Financial Services & Regulatory team. They are well known for their strength as market-leading experts in complex, high-value transactional and advisory work. The Role of a Financial Services Regulatory Associate The financial services regulation group advise on a wide range of issues including bank structuring (including ring-fencing), securities and derivatives regulation, capital and liquidity requirements, marketing and selling restrictions, clearing and settlement, custody and prime brokerage, and recovery and resolution planning. Most of the work will have an international and cross-border dimension and will range from some of the largest and most complex transactions to smaller deals which provide greater responsibility. Key responsibilities of the Financial Services Regulatory Associate Duties Include: Strategically advising clients in meetings, on the phone and in writing Legal research Attending client meetings, taking instructions and otherwise liaising with clients Drafting, reviewing and amending documentation Managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately Business development - development of personal plan and assistance with and implementation of business development campaigns Knowhow and thought leadership support To be considered for the Financial Services Regulatory Associate role you will have: NQ - 18 months PQE Strong financial services & regulatory experience gained at a city or international law firm Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent Commerciality and demonstrable business development experience Excellent written communication and drafting skills Strong service orientation
