To be considered you must be fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, you will have Charity and Not for Profit experience, audit knowledge or practice background would be helpful, be educated to degree level or equivalent with good written and analytical skills. You must be a team player collaborative and able to contribute to meetings and the department plans. This role is responsible for the Business Partnering of some strategically important areas across the Group, supporting them to deliver their financial targets by developing trusted relationships and working alongside ELT members and budget holders to produce their finance model, budget, and forecasts. This role will need to influence and negotiate with senior colleagues and provide technical and strategic insight. Key • To develop the financial strategy (the 5 year model) for key departments, influencing senior colleagues as appropriate to ensure financial sustainability and alignment with the organisation’s strategy. • To lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for key departments, influencing ELT members and budget holders as necessary to ensure that their financial position is in line with organisational targets. • To lead on the monthly management accounts and reporting process including the monthly management accounts report for the Executive Leadership Team and Trustees. • Applying expert financial knowledge to provide financial advice and guidance to budget holders on finance policies, procedures and best practice, including challenging and influencing thoughts and existing practices. • Instigate and lead projects to improve and develop internal processes to maximise efficiency and value for money. • To design, produce and circulate high quality management information and analytics that monitor performance against the financial plan, to ensure that the financial position remains on track, including agreeing actions with budget holders/ELT where appropriate and working with budget holders/ELT members to proactively manage any emerging risks or opportunities. To provide financial expertise on key projects relating to key departments, and ensure that budgetary implications of projects are understood and dealt with appropriately. • Providing technical advice to colleagues as requested, ie. impact of SORP 2015 and VAT. • To provide training to staff across Ambitious about Autism so that they have the financial, economic and resource information they need in order to carry out their financial responsibilities. • To assist with the annual statutory accounts. • To complete ad-hoc pieces of analysis as required. Experience Strategic knowledge of finance and business planning, Knowledge of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 2015 and tax rules for charities Proven experience of business partnering, Interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with individuals and organisations. Advanced excel and report writing experience, and commercial and business orientated skills
