In conjunction with our festivals we are looking to provide this amazing career opportunity to an individual from the local areas of the following five boroughs; Ealing, Hounslow, Haringey, Islington and Hackney. Location : London Division : Festival Republic Line Manager: Assistant Financial Controller Contract Terms: Fixed-term, 2 years Salary: National Minimum Wage Start Date: March 2020 Festival Republic is the UK's largest festival and event promoter, the team proudly organises festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Berlin Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin. Festival Republic, which is part of Live Nation Entertainment, runs an apprenticeship programme which aims to offer an alternative route for people into employment. We are currently recruiting for a Finance Apprentice to join our team for two years. The finance apprenticeship offers on the job training and onsite assessment by an approved apprenticeship training provider, earning a nationally recognised qualification at the end of the apprenticeship. The role will report to the Senior Management Accountant and will work with accounts and operations teams, to provide accurate and timely management information to agreed deadlines. The successful candidate must have a good data entry skills and be ambitious to grow as the division grows. We are looking for a candidate with a good work and communication ethic to get the job done and to be able to work on their own initiative. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will include: Ensuring all purchase orders are approved within agreed timeframes and are logged on the budget control sheet for each festival To check invoices are coded correctly, matched to purchase orders and are within budget before Oracle authorisation Raise sales invoices as agreed with external booking agents and the festival team Update budget sheets with payment dates Assist in aged creditor/aged debtor reviews including debtor chasing Processing company credit cards by agreed deadlines Working onsite at festivals REQUIREMENTS Minimum of five or higher GCSE's or equivalent (including Maths & English) Strong numeracy skills Strong attention to detail Competent and skilled using Microsoft Excel Ability to prioritise own workload and ensure deadlines are met Good communication skills, with excellent telephone manner Good team player Positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn PLEASE NOTE: Candidates need to live in one of the following five boroughs: Ealing, Hounslow, Haringey, Islington and Hackney to apply.
