Overview
Production Manager / Shift Manager required for a well established manufacturing company based in Cheltenham, due to sustained growth and a healthy order bookand significant investment in new equipment at the Cheltenham site. Our client are a privately owned, precision engineering company who specialise in parts for the aerospace industry. Production Manager / Shift Manager £32,000 - £37,000 per annum Benefits include Pension, 31 days holiday, Free Parking Mon to Friday - 37 hrs per week (early finish on Friday) Cheltenham Permanent Duties of the Production Manager / Shift Manager will be: Day to day running of production - covering Machining, Paint Spraying, Anodising and final assembly Planning all work in all areas and controlling production (using MRP System), to ensure production targets are met Responsible for implementing process improvements and carrying out ongoing training and development of staff. Reporting to MD and other senior management - preparing weekly and monthly reports Skills and experience: Previous experience in a similar environment - Aerospace or Automotive would be ideal HNC or HND in Engineering or Apprentice trained would be an advantage Experience of using MRP systems and have good IT Skills Strong people management and interpersonal skills Good knowledge of H&S standards and working to Quality systems In return the successful Production / Shift Manager will be joining a well established and successful organisation in a new role within the organisation that you can make your own and offers future growth opportunities.
