Business Summary: We are currently supporting a fantastic Tier 1 precision engineering firm located in the Warwickshire area. The company supplies high-end components to the most lucrative engineering sectors in the world. The business has been on the market for over 50 years, therefore it has a strong reputation within the engineering social group. Due to multiple acquisitions both within the UK and US, it's a perfect opportunity to join and grow with the business Although this is the smallest site within the UK, it boast a large fabrication and sheet metal area where there is heavy investment into new machinery. This particular site is on a great growth path, and with work orders piling up each day, the business has a very promising future. Role outline: The role at hand is a Manufacturing Engineer within their Fabrication & Sheet metal cell. As a Manufacturing Engineer within this critical cell, you will be tasked to design jigs and fixtures for various press machines and laser machines as well as programming the machines using CAD/CAM packages. You will also be heavily involved with NPI projects, so everyday will be a different day for sure Successful candidate WILL demonstrate the following: Strong precision engineering background within demanding industries such as Aerospace or Oil&Gas Ability to use a CAD/CAM system (Catia V4/V5, Solidworks or NX & SolidCAM or MasterCAM etc.) in order to design tooling/fixtures plus program complex components for Press/Laser/EDM machines Ability to create a method of manufacture and internal drawings Ability to liaise with customers and suppliers to solve technical issues Experienced in improving manufacturing methods of both new and existing components Experienced in fabricated and sheet metal components within a precision engineering sector (Aerospace, MOD, Nuclear, Oil&Gas or Motorsport) Experienced in liaising with Operations and the Shop Floor to solve technical/production issues.
