Desktop Support Analyst - 12 Months - Didcot - £20 per hour Inside IR35 We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for our Government client based in Harwell near Didcot. This is a initial 12-month contract, paying up to £20 per hour Inside IR35. This is an urgent requirement, with interviews taking place ASAP. This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role this will now be based on an Umbrella solution on a PAYE basis . Role Profile: Experience of upgrading Microsoft Windows versions Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Sound knowledge of PC Hardware and peripherals Comfortable working in a busy helpdesk environment Good interpersonal skills and committed to delivering an excellent service to their customers within the department Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrate good team working capabilities The willingness to learn new skills, both technical and non-technical Open minded and flexible in relation to the type of work assigned to them Special Requirements: Able to perform manual handling tasks You will working in a busy helpdesk environment and be expected to: Communicate with user base to employ the best method for Windows 10 upgrade either through in place upgrade, fresh installation or replacement of entire PC Communicate and work with fellow IT professionals within the team on a daily basis Communicate with users, scientists and management to understand their IT needs and assist them Undertake support of Windows desktop systems and carry out agreed system software maintenance tasks Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications Investigate problems in systems, processes and services. Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures Identify, register and categorise incidents. Gather information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocate incidents as appropriate.
