Overview
Piper Maddox are recruiting on behalf of a longstanding energy and utilities provider based in the UK who provide electricity to more than 1.2 million customers. They have been operating for nearly 100 years and employ 7,000 in the UK with huge plans to expand and focus on renewable energy, clean technology and sustainable engineering. As part of these plans, they have recently diversified their business into the design, development, installation and maintenance of heat pump and solar PV systems for private residential, commercial, industrial and public sector clients. As a result, they are now seeking a Project Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis to act as a technical leader during installation and maintenance projects. Key responsibilities include: - Planning and delivery of installation and maintenance projects from proposal to completion and handover - Overseeing multiple projects at any one time - Completing safety, quality and environmental audits on projects - Carrying out site assessments and developing feasibility studies - Collaborating with internal teams to service customer needs; identifying areas to sell other business services where necessary You will be: - Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline - Able to demonstrate 5 years experience delivering technical energy projects - Able to deliver projects for private and public sector clients alike - Have a strong knowledge of Project Delivery Methodologies - Experience in asset management, operation and maintenance - Able to work to ISO 50001 standards Most importantly, you will be passionate about clean technology and renewable energy and have the confidence and drive to help push business growth whilst representing the brand in client-facing scenarios.
