Overview

PhD Student sought for a Research role with a leading Analytics company. Working in conjunction with the Lloyd’s and London Insurance market as well as other Financial Institutions and the occasional project with other exciting organisations on specific cases, your research / workload will be based upon Meteorological Sciences and the effects that the related Perils may have upon the world that we live in. A full brief is available to relevant candidates, however, the basis of the role (and our client) focuses around the modelling of data that will provide highly detailed analytical reports to its vast client base. This role will differ from most Research / Analytics positions in that it will involve a lot of client and stakeholder interaction and relationship building, therefore, all applicants must be comfortable in a client facing role. Successful candidates will also be able to work on multiple projects at once with the ability to pick up different workloads at any given time. Within your CV (or cover letter) we are keen to see examples of dissertations, papers, case studies surrounding the Topic (including Wind, Hurricane, Cyclone Storm etc) or perhaps you have taken a year out or completed a relevant Internship or work experience. Likewise you may hold a PhD and now work in a technical capacity but seek to gain a more relationship / client lead role. This role would be ideal.
