Financial Analyst / Assistant Commercial Accountant £25,000 - 30,000 We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst / Assistant Commercial Accountant position with a large and truly excellent organisation. Applicants must have experience suitable for and related to what is required for this position, and you must also be CIMA or ACCA part qulaified. As your time with the company progresses and due to a planned restructure, your role will later start to include some of the duties of the commercial accountant as well as some financial controller duties - hence the reason for the generous salary review - as well as job role review - after a certain period of time. Upon joining the company, your overall role will be to assist the Commercial Accountant and Financial Controller in: Management Accounts - produce significant element of the monthly management accounts and assist the Financial Controller in the forecasting and budgeting of the following key areas: Distribution, Promotional Spend, Sales and Sales Margin Analysis and collating all elements into a monthly accounts pack Balance sheet - Maintain monthly reconciliations for the entire Balance Sheet with the exception of Fixed Assets, Inventory and Payroll related accounts. Group Accounts - Process and maintain inter-company transactions ensuring the control accounts balance every month. Overhead Analysis - Accurately record, monitor and challenge Budget Holders to ensure overhead spend is kept under control for the following departments - Operations, Staff and Administration. Costings - Assist Financial Controller in preparation of accurate and timely product costings in response to requests from Sales and Marketing Insight & Analysis - Provide insight and analysis to support decision making and deliver learnings for the business. Areas of analysis include promotional spend, marketing investments, product tail analysis and customer and export profitability. Sales forecasting - Liaise closely with Sales colleagues to regularly update the rolling sales forecast (MRP) and prepare / upload the formal sales forecast and annual sales budget into the ERP system. This forms the basis for production planning. Statutory Accounts - Assist the FC and FD in the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts Deputise for the Financial Controller when required and other duties as requested by Financial Controller or Finance Director Applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
