Overview

My client is a luxury men's retailer based in Camden, London. They are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee all financial reporting but to also work closely alongside the MD and non finance teams including buying and merchandising to impact commercial decisions being made. You will be the number one in finance and will report into the MD but have a dotted line into the Non Exec Director who has a strong finance background with numerous PLC businesses. You will therefore get an immense amount of support and direction from day one. The role of Financial Controller will involve: Ownership over the monthly management accounts Support the outsourced function with the statutory reporting Manage cash flow Budgeting and forecasting Work closely with each Head of Department to discuss their results in line with budget The suitable candidate for the role of Financial Controller will be/have: Newly qualified (ACA) and looking to make their first move into industry. Retail audits would be ideal but not essential Driven, ambitious and the ability to use their initiative An interest in the retail sector is ideal
