Overview
My client is a high profile firm who is looking at strengthening its Commercial Litigation department based in Horncastle. As a commercial litigation solicitor, you will be a self-sufficient person who is required to come in and help build up the caseload again. This department was partner-led, however, that person retired and the firm has not been able to find the right person to take over. This role would suit an experienced commercial litigation solicitor at 5 years' PQE. Rather than the civil/PI side of litigation, the caseload on offer would be suitable for someone with a proven track record within commercial litigation and commercial dispute resolution. This is because the work that has been covered traditionally from that office has been the business services side of litigation. The main remit here is to re-connect with the firm's previous client bases and long term relationships in Horncastle, along with building up the service levels again, whilst identifying new sources of business. The firm would like to hear from you if you have a background in: Contractual disputes Property and construction disputes Boundary and land disputes Commercial leases Professional negligence claims against accountants, surveyors, architects and other solicitors Shareholder disputes Partnership disputes Intellectual property disputes Commercial debt recovery Alternative dispute resolution Complex IT Litigation Debt collection Contentious probate. You should have a proven track record of having excellent client relationship skills and an ability to business develop and network. You will be happy to work alone and cover your own admin initially before inheriting other members of staff to mentor and nurture. Salary to negotiation subject to experience.
