The Role The role is based in their Data Centre in Reading, from where they support the services of an international client base. The technical team provides engineers with exposure to a large range of concepts and technologies. With annual growth of 50% it is a dynamic environment, with great opportunities for experience, development and a long-term career. Skills & Requirements The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and logical thinker with an aptitude for problem solving. Listening and learning quickly is key to absorbing the new technologies in use. Any candidate must have knowledge in the following areas. This can come from a professional or personal setting, as long as the candidate can demonstrate it successfully: Good experience of building computer systems and hardware components Good understanding of IP networking General application troubleshooting Any real world and hands on experience with the following technologies will differentiate candidates: Linux, Apache, Load Balancing, VPN technologies, Virtualisation, Xen, XenServer, KVM, Hyper-V, SANs, High-Availability and Failover, Solaris, Windows Server 2012/2016, IIS, Active Directory, IP Routing, MySQL, MSSQL, Network Security protocols.
