Overview
Delegated Underwriting Technician Type: Full Time (37.5 h.p.w.) or Part Time (minimum 30 h.p.w.) an option Location: Home or Office (based in City of London) options available Salary: c £30,000 p.a. pro rata Our client is a Coverholder at Lloyds. This is a great opportunity to join a newly established, innovative and dynamic MGA specialising in the underwriting of global Financial Institutions (IMI, BBB FIPI and FID&O) and Commercial D&O insurance. Working closely with the 2 Directors, the purpose of the role will be to provide a range of technical support functions in all day to day operational aspects of the running of the MGA. As a key member of a small and dynamic team this role will suit a highly focussed, adaptable and innovative individual, who can work independently and assume responsibility to complete tasks. Responsibilities will include: Bordereaux entry and management Monitoring of credit control and unallocated cash Production of debit notes, policy documentation, endorsements etc Assisting with tax queries Liaising with brokers, service providers and other third parties Producing reports for underwriting management General support of the underwriting management team - KYC checks, management and maintenance of electronic filing system - quote logging, entry and management of business bound, submission spreadsheets etc Ad hoc reporting and project support work General office administration duties Required Skills & Expertise: Previous experience of Lloyd's Xchanging, is essential Experience in processing, monitoring, verifying and managing monthly bordereaux, is essential. Proficiency in using London market systems such as Atlas, Crystal etc Experience of issuing debit notes and knowledge of overseas insurance tax regimes Highly proficient in MS Office including advanced knowledge of Excel Experience dealing with international business and risks Knowledge of Financial Lines / Commercial D&O insurance, desirable Our client supports flexible home working and part time options and is happy to discuss working hours and location possibilities.
