Overview
Delegated Underwriter, City, up to c.£30,000, working for an MGA. Your new company Your new job as a Delegated Underwriter will be working for an established and growing MGA with an office based in the heart of the City as well as offices throughout the UK . Due to substantial growth within their HNW/Household /Property team a new permanent position for a Delegated Underwriter has arisen. Your new role Your new job working as a Delegated Underwriter means you will work closely as part of a team of responsible for dealing daily with new business and renewal referrals by producing terms and converting/retaining acceptable business. Working across multiple metrics and delivering a high-quality service by delivering an efficient underwriting service to delegated coverholders and brokers. This role will involve an even split of underwriting but will have an analytical aspect of looking after trends and analysing portfolios, so there will be use of Excel and Access for data. You will deal with Household and Property risks as well as working collaboratively with other parts of the company, including the claims and sales team. Other duties will include building and maintaining strong relationships with Coverholders, Directors and other colleagues What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience working as a Delegated Underwriter handling Property Household or HNW risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. Knowledge of delegated property insurance and underlying legal principles and practices would be advantageous. Cert CII or progression towards is highly desirable. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as experience in using MS Office with a particular focus on Excel and ideally Access. Ideally you will have an analytical mind set with the ability to develop solutions necessary to solve complex problems What you'll get in return You'll be offered a competitive salary of up to c.£30,000 plus comprehensive benefits package.
