We are currently looking for a finance graduate to join the fantastic team at Peterborough. We offer real job opportunities which provide fast track development in the industry. Working on an operational warehouse / transport site you will experience a blend of first line finance tasks and hands on project involvement. We will enable you to a grow in from a finance administrator to an assistant finance manager, whilst working towards a relevant qualification in the industry. In this role you are accountable for: · To log and process all purchase orders, seek relevant approvals, deal with queries, and submit to head office; meeting all daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. · Prepare and monitor schedules and prompt departmental managers when purchase requisitions are required for periodic service providers. · Cost analysis, challenging expenditure, and seeking more cost-effective alternatives where applicable. · To reconcile agency and core hours on a daily/weekly basis vs operational information provided and challenge where required. · Recording and completion of petty cash for weekly financial and month end reconciliation reporting. · To support operational management as required · To support in the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, including presentations for customers · Assist in the month-end accounting process · Support Site Engagement & Charity Initiatives · Completing any other duties or tasks and instructions that are deemed to be within the job holders experience and capability Required skills, knowledge and experience: Business Skills: · Problem Structuring · Project Management · Manages Challenge · Developing recommendations · Written and verbal communication with various audiences · Knowledge: · A 2:1 degree in any discipline · Industry awareness · Customer Awareness · Financial Awareness · Experience: · Working as part of a team · Managing Own Activity NB.
