Overview
Our client is a key player in the local economy and they are currently recruiting for someone to join their small and friendly finance team. Reporting to the manager of the team your role will be varied but will focus mainly on purchase ledger and duties will include; Processing invoices and matching to purchase orders and gaining approval Processing employee expense claims and credit card expenses Allocating cash book postings for accounts payable Ensuring month-end tasks are completed in timely manner and to deadlines Assisting with the year-end audit Setting up BACS payments Reconciling supplier statements Producing weekly aged creditor and KPI reports The successful candidate will have a proven background in accounts and particularly purchase ledger and will be well-versed in working to deadlines and ensuring that their quality of work does not suffer. As well as experience of working with accountancy systems, the right person will have strong Excel skills and be able to find their way around a spreadsheet in more than a basic manner Working with both internal and external personnel, a polite and professional manner is essential to the success of this role.
