EMEA Finance Analyst Description This is a fantastic career opportunity in Peterborough for an experienced Financial Analyst with a natural commercial flair. You'll join a small team within Cummins Generator Technologies (CGT), a very successful business unit within the Cummins Group. As part of a team, you will help to provide Financial Analysis to the EMEA region, as well as having the sole responsibility of managing the credit risk analysis for the business unit. This is a unique role, where you will play an influential part in key business decisions for an international company. You'll be given great exposure to the business, presenting a great opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities; * Monthly management of accounts for the EMEA region including; income statements, working capital, capital expenditure and commentary on performance with explanation of variances. * Support the preparation of the EMEA region budgets, forecasts and the corporate plan. covering the P&L and other KPIs for the CGT business unit. * Working closely with Finance teams, developing an understanding of trends in performance, and key issues, activities, and timetables. * Financial modelling for AOP, forecasting, capex projects and productivity initiatives. * Develop own knowledge and understanding of trade finance and credit management skills to allow you to effectively evaluate customer credit- worthiness, determining potential risk factors and presenting your findings back to key stakeholders. * Prepare metrics analysis and consolidated credit reporting for each entity, as well as ad hoc credit analysis and reports as required. * Support local customers in relation to credit limits and terms, ensuring that activities are in line with Corporate Credit Policies. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need; * Existing experience working as a Financial Analyst or Credit Analyst is essential, preferably within the manufacturing industry. * Part qualified CIMA/ACCA, or experience in a similar position. * Experience of analyzing and interpreting financial statements/data from a variety of industries and commercial backgrounds would be advantageous. * To be data driven with exceptional analytical skills to solve problems and draw meaningful conclusions. * To demonstrate a tenacious personality, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and adapt to new situations. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey a clear understanding of the needs of the business. * A natural rapport building ability teamed with a collaborative working style. * To be commercially focused, with the confidence to ask lots of questions to ensure that financial risks to the business are always kept at a minimum.
