Procurement Manager Workington, Cumbria About Us Iggesund Paperboard is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England. We are now seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team in Workington. Working as part of the Finance Department within the Workington Mill, you will be responsible for the following areas of activity: - Management of the Procurement Department at the mill - Operate cross functionally in the Holmen Strategic Purchasing organisation - Safety and Working Environment within your designated area - Act as a member of the Finance Management Team Your role will also involve: - Managing and developing existing and new contractor and supplier relations - Determining and driving a more efficient procurement process - Developing effective negotiation strategies and communicating these to other departments - Purchasing products and services in congruence with group strategies - Maintaining a database of Contracts and Agreements for each department - Working closely with the Projects Department to develop early strategies on Capital investments - Maintaining regular contact with all departments to build and adapt procurement understanding and strategies in each area About You To be considered as the Procurement Manager, you will need: - An MCIPS qualification or be working towards completion - Experience from supply chain management, ideally from within the process industry - Proven leadership and organisational development skills - A good knowledge of relevant legislation - Excellent IT skills - Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen Ideal candidates will also have knowledge of the pulp and paper process and mill capabilities.
