Finance & Operations Manager DefenceTech £45K C.London Talentedge is proud to be partnering with an industry-leading DefenceTech growth company on a newly-created role within the team as a Finance & Operations Manager. Based in the West End of London, you will report directly to the CEO to build out a robust finance function and to assist in projects to grow the business and its client portfolio. Please get in touch Key responsibilities Management of day-to-day finances including VAT returns, payroll & book-keeping Production of monthly management accounts Assisting the CEO in developing and refining the company's long-term strategic business plan Assisting in Business Development and customer liaison to grow the client-base globally Assisting in the day-today-operations of the business, working in close co-operation with other key operations personnel within the business You will support the negotiation of contracts and commercial terms with existing and prospective clients to maximise revenues Production of statutory accounts, financial statements & regulatory reporting Preparing R&D tax credits applications Preparing applications for grant funding, competitions etc. Controlling the businesses FX remittance Ensure all aspects of the business are compliant in line with IS0 9001 and other relevant quality standards, including support with annual compliance audits Ad-hoc projects across the wider business Profile Newly-qualified accountant Team player Problem-solver Strong inter-personal skills Credible, creative and confident in your ability to make things happen Technically strong accountant (understanding of FCA regulations is desirable) A commercial mindset with an inquisitive nature and an entrepreneurial approach
