Overview

The Company: My Client is a Global Brand Performance Agency managing over $1BN in media annually, with 1,000 employees across 25 offices in 15 countries around the World. They have 3 main hub offices being London, New York and Hong Kong to coordinate and manage our 3 core territories EMEA, US and APAC. The role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bright and ambitious Financial Controller to join a fast-growing digital marketing company that possess a portfolio of innovative, high profile brands. Month End Reporting: Monthly consolidation of the Forward3D Group of companies - which includes several overseas subsidiaries and branches Standalone UK GAAP (FRS102) consolidation and a submission into the US for Global reporting - Some knowledge of US GAAP would be helpful but not essential Review expenses and calculate accruals to help produce monthly management accounts Assisting with finance system development and ongoing reviews to find efficiencies within current way of working Liaising with staff and 3rd party accountants located overseas for all financial information required for month end close and consolidation Business partnering alongside heads of departments to ensure accurate monthly actuals reviews Monthly/Quarterly Tasks: Reporting into Stagwell Media parent company including providing adequate commentary and insight using parent company accounting system - Intacct Ensuring intra and inter company reconciliations are held on a monthly basis Opportunity to create business packs for department heads and regional heads - providing financial analysis, comments and suggestions Ensuring a code of best practice with regards to accounting treatment Working alongside other members of the team to review foreign companies compliance and give recommendations to Global FC & CFO Review PAYE & other payroll reconciliations Review and submit VAT and corporation tax returns Ensure all foreign compliance is adhered to alongside external bookkeepers Review PSA & P11D calculations and workings Ad-hoc tasks: Lead production of 4 UK statutory accounts and 1 consolidation in a timely fashion Liaise with other companies in the group and foreign external accountants on global financial compliance, ensuring all local compliance is upheld Checking & approving the supplier payments and expenses prepared by accounts payable Ensure global transfer pricing policies are adhered to and documented Improve monthly balance sheet reconciliations for media spend and create ongoing improvements to how monthly revenue recognition and cost of sales reconciliations are produced Work closely with AR & AP teams to continually improve processes Skill Requirements: Finalist Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Ideally have experience working in a client service industry, preferably media / digital · Sage 200 and or Sage Intacct experience preferred. Advanced excel is preferred - intermediate knowledge essential. Must be able to handle large volumes of data from accounts system and interpret this data in excel Experience of working with overseas offices preferred Team player able to understand the bigger picture but also prepared to get into the detail to get the job done Excellent time management skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to present data in easily understood format If this would be of interest please apply
